How SkillShelf handles personal information and related data.

SkillShelf, operated by Taishun Hagihara, handles personal information as described below in connection with providing the service. 【Information we collect】 ・Account information such as email address, username, and display name, collected during authentication through Clerk ・Purchase information such as purchase history, amounts, and payment status, collected through Stripe webhooks and database records. Card numbers and banking details are managed by Stripe and are not stored by SkillShelf. ・Author information, including the Stripe connected account ID, used only to confirm paid Skill listing eligibility and identify the author ・Payment processing information. This service uses Stripe, Inc. for payment processing, and Stripe.js is loaded in the browser. Stripe.js may send device information, IP addresses, browser information, and related data to Stripe for fraud detection. This collection is performed by Stripe, not by SkillShelf. ・Usage logs, including access records and operation history, collected through Supabase and server logs ・Consent records, including the accepted ToS version and timestamp, collected and stored at the time of purchase ・Cookies and similar technologies for session management and usage analysis. See /cookie for details. 【Purposes of use】 ・Providing, maintaining, and improving the service ・Processing Platform Fee receipt through Stripe Connect ・Customer support ・Detecting and preventing fraud or misuse ・Complying with legal obligations 【Provision to third parties】 We provide data to the following service providers only for service operation purposes. ・Stripe for payment infrastructure and payouts to authors: https://stripe.com/privacy Note that Stripe may independently collect browser and device information through Stripe.js. Please refer to Stripe's privacy policy for details. ・Clerk for authentication: https://clerk.com/privacy ・Supabase for database and storage: https://supabase.com/privacy ・Vercel for hosting: https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy ・Zoho for support email handling: https://www.zoho.com/privacy.html ・Sentry for error monitoring: https://sentry.io/privacy/ SkillShelf does not provide users' personal information to third parties except when necessary for payment processing through Stripe, authentication through Clerk, or when required by law or by a court or administrative authority. 【Retention periods】 ・Account information: deleted within 30 days after an approved deletion request ・Transaction logs, including purchases, refunds, and chargebacks: retained for 7 years due to legal requirements ・Audit logs: retained for 1 year, with automated deletion not yet implemented ・Cookies: session cookies are removed when the browser is closed, while analytics cookies may remain for up to 2 years 【User rights】 If you would like to request disclosure, correction, deletion, or suspension of marketing communications regarding your information, please contact help@agentskill-shelf.com. Some data, such as transaction logs, may not be deletable where retention is legally required. To request account deletion, contact help@agentskill-shelf.com. We process approved deletion requests within 30 days, while records subject to statutory retention, such as purchase and transaction records, are retained for the required period. 【Cross-border transfer】 This service uses servers located outside Japan, including in the United States. Data is handled in accordance with each service provider's privacy policy. 【Cookie policy】 Please see /cookie for details regarding cookies. Essential cookies cannot be disabled. Analytics cookies can be disabled through browser settings. 【Changes】 If we make a material change to this policy, we will notify users by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. 【Protection of personal information】 SkillShelf complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan. Person responsible for personal information protection: Taishun Hagihara.
